The Birth of SumArt
SumArt was unknowingly born during a transformative summer holiday in 2017. It was during this time that our family discovered their shared creative spirit through leather crafting. To this day, Mom carries a wallet lovingly crafted by our brother, Louwrens - a tangible reminder of the
enduring memories that leather evokes. From humble beginnings to our expansive
warehouse in George, the SumArt journey stands as a testament to dedication and
passion.
Our Commitment
Guided by Anneri's oversight, every aspect of production - sourcing fine full-grain leather, design, quality control, transferring her skills to local
artisans – is executed with care and attention to detail.
Our Vision
Our vision evolved from materialising our “standards” to creating opportunities
for local artisans. In the process, we empower you to personalise your creative
item. With a palette of six leather colours and engraving options, you can
transform our products into unique gifts or cherished keepsakes.
